DIY musical_hack//lab | Schweizerische Gesellschaft für Mechatronische Kunst, SGMK
During the course of POOLLOOP the Swiss Mechatronic Art Society provides an open lab, the DIY musical_hack//lab. A variety of electronic tools and hardware will be availabe and everybody is invited to join the lab to work on new musical instruments, which can later be played in during the Sonic Wargame sessions on Friday and Satruday night. Specially for the festival and the Sonic Wargame, the WAR//LOOPER can be built under the instructions of SGMK, which allows to sample and hack simple sounds at 8khz.
diy makeaway
In addition, diy makeaway, a variety of mini-projects for beginners, kids and hippies are available, which allow to build for example a light-controlled mini-synthesizer in around 60 minutes or other fun
projects, no specific knowledge/experience needed.
